How BetterScore Works
We publish football tips and we publish whether they win or lose. Here's the pipeline that gets a fixture from a calendar entry to a graded result in your history.
Fixtures sync every day
We pull upcoming matches from API-Football across every league we cover — Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1, Champions League, Europa League, Championship, Eredivisie, Primeira Liga, FIFA World Cup 2026, and international friendlies.
Editors publish tips with full analysis
Each tip is published by a named editor and stamped with their identity in our database. Tips include the pick (1, X, 2, Over 2.5, GG, etc.), our confidence, the bookmaker odds, and a written analysis explaining the reasoning.
Subscribers get the tip instantly
The moment a tip is published, it broadcasts to our public Telegram channel, to confirmed email subscribers, and to anyone who opted into browser push notifications. The tip page goes live with a permanent URL.
After the match, the grader runs
Within 30 minutes of full-time, an automated job fetches the final score from API-Football and evaluates the tip against the result. Win, loss, or void — the result is written permanently to the prediction record.
The track record updates automatically
Every graded tip flows into our /history page and the verified record widget on the homepage. Win rate, ROI, and recent form are computed from the actual database, not a marketing slide. We can't hide losing tips — they're already public.
What keeps the record honest
Every tip is published before kickoff
We don't 'remember winning' tips that were never published. Tips have a public URL and a timestamp — they exist before the match starts or they don't count.
Grading is automated, not manual
We grade tips by calling API-Football for the final score and running a deterministic evaluator. We don't get to choose what counts as a win after the fact.
All graded tips are kept on file
Losses stay in the record exactly like wins. Cherry-picking would invalidate the entire site. Our win rate goes up by adding wins, never by hiding losses.
Free tips work the same way as VIP tips
VIP tips get earlier alerts and deeper analysis. They don't get easier grading. A losing VIP tip is a losing tip in the record.
Free vs VIP — the actual difference
Every free tip is a real tip. VIP gets earlier alerts (often hours before the public feed), deeper analysis, our highest-confidence picks that we don't put on the free feed, and direct contact with the tipster. Both feeds are graded by the same automated job — there's no separate VIP track record. See the history page for the combined audit log.
